How to Buy UK PSN Gift Cards in Pakistan (GBP Wallet Top-Up)

Not every Pakistani PSN account defaults to the USA region — plenty of accounts get created (or migrated) as UK-region, especially if the account was first set up while travelling, through a UK-based email/payment history, or inherited from a UK SIM/PSN account years ago. How do I know if my PSN account is UK-region?

Check Account Settings → Account Information → Region on your PS5 or PS4. If it shows United Kingdom rather than United States, your wallet is denominated in GBP, and only a UK-region PSN code will redeem into it. Most Pakistani accounts default to USA (see our main PSN gift card guide if that’s you instead) — UK is the less common but still fairly frequent second case we get asked about.

Why a gift card instead of linking a card directly?

The PlayStation Store UK storefront doesn’t accept most Pakistani-issued cards, and even where a payment technically clears, your bank adds a foreign-transaction fee and its own exchange-rate markup on top of Sony’s GBP price. Step-by-step: buying and redeeming a UK PSN code

1. Confirm your account is set to the UK region (Account Settings → Account Information → Region).

Wrong region by mistake?

A UK code will only redeem on a UK-region account — it won’t work on a USA or India wallet, and vice versa.
