A phone number and a Facebook page can be created in minutes and abandoned just as fast. A real seller has a website, a product catalogue, and an order history you can point back to — something that existed before you paid and doesn’t disappear the moment there’s a problem.

Red flag: price far below every other seller

PSN codes cost the seller real money to source — there’s a floor below which a “deal” only makes sense if the code is stolen, already used, or the seller never intends to deliver. A price that looks too good against every other listing usually is.

Red flag: payment to a personal account, no order record

Being asked to transfer to a personal name rather than a documented business account, with nothing generated on your end besides a chat message, means you have no paper trail if the code doesn’t work. A real transaction leaves an order number and a receipt, not just a conversation.

Red flag: no policy for when something goes wrong
